This morning began to look like we were going to be seeing rain all day long with overcast dark stratus clouds, but that cleared up in the mid afternoon.  Currently there is scattered cloud cover.  We are seeing some vertical development in the cumulus clouds though which means we will probably receive precipitation overnight and into tomorrow.  The 500 mb map shows a leveling off in the upper atmosphere that shows a leveling off which means that if we do receive some inclement weather and lower temperatures it should be short lived.  The area of low pressure over the Rockies should bring us some rain or even a little snow mix by later this week.
