Current Conditions
Clear
Temperature: 9 degrees F
Dew Point: -6 degrees F
Wind Speed: 12 MPH
Wind Direction: Northwest
Humidity: 43%

After all that beautiful weather over the past week or so it has finally gone back to bitter cold conditions.  The temperature may read 9 degrees F right now, but with a brisk wind coming out of the northwest it makes it feel like -6 degrees F.  The low pressure system for winter storm Q is forming over the Rocky Mountains right now and it will continue to head in our direction over the next couple days.  This winter storm will bring a good amount of snow, but nothing compared to what is going to get dumped on Nebraska and the lower Midwest.  There is hope in sight for warmer temperatures though for the rest of the week, or at least warmer then today.  The second map below shows how little water vapor is in the air as well which makes it feel even more bitterly cold.  Today was a boring and miserable day for weather, but as the week goes on we will begin to see more exciting weather happenings in our area and throughout most of the Midwest!
